What Are Your Rocks?

Life can be messy and in those wonderful situations that life presents us there are always gifts that eventually present themselves. Your rocks, are those things that keep you anchored when things are tough. Your rocks are the things. you absolutely believe in, that can sometimes keep you stuck. Your rocks can represent your core needs.

Sometimes, we are presented with situations that cause us to react outwardly. When we stop and reflect on the situation, we realize that it was really about a rock that wasn't being honoured or acknowledged. I have a rock called "Do the right thing" which is guided by integrity. At the end of the day I have a deep need to be true to myself and the situation. This can also be a grey area at times. Sometimes, we need to quietly acknowledge our rock and be "in" integrity with ourselves, without throwing our rock at others.

I have another rock called "Create Your Life" which is grounded in a need for freedom. When I am told that I must do something this rock begins to stir. Ultimately, I have a deep desire to be free from having to work for others. I have a deep need to be of service. I am so tired of trading 40 hours a week for others, while struggling to pay the bills. This is slowly changing and I am clear on the bigger picture.

I have another rock called "Own Your Voice". This rock is grounded in vulnerability and saying that which is difficult to share or acknowledge. I enjoy difficult conversations as there is so much to learn from them.

There are also other rocks and smaller rocks that guide me. There are also times, when one rock is more important than another. Times when, releasing attachment to one rock, honours another which is right for the situation.

And...beyond all these rocks there is also flow, which is about knowing when to let go of all thoughts and attachments, turn over on our backs and go with the flow of the river with ease.
