Healing Your Relationship With Yourself
Gabor Maté defines healing as, "nothing more or less than a natural movement toward wholeness." This definition points to key ways in which my clients are worked with.
I strive to create a safe, supportive, nurturing space which allows you to explore the emotional trauma of your earliest relationships. When you feel safe the door to natural movement opens. This permits finding your answers and co-creating your path of healing. Wholeness refers to who you were when you came into this world. You are not broken. You are stuck in patterns rooted in beliefs which you have been carrying. What is experienced in relationship with yourself and others is often the result of long held unconscious conditioning.
I have spent thousands of hours working with people on these dynamics, both individually and in groups. Our work, the brave real work, brings awareness to the repetitive unconscious patterns playing out. To use a gardening metaphor, we must remove the entire weed and its roots rather than just the parts above ground. To re-awaken our wholeness, inner voice and inner wildness, we must include the source of the emotions held in our body. Here are a few examples of how they can show up in our relationships.

"When you're lost in the woods it sometimes takes a while to realize that you are lost. For the longest time you can convince yourself that you've just wandered off the path, that you'll find your way back to the trailhead any moment now. Then night falls again and again and you still have no idea where you are. It's time to admit that you have bewildered yourself so far off the path that you don't even know from which direction the sun rises anymore."
~ Elizabeth Gilbert
