Laughter Circle

We've all heard the phrase, "Laughter is the best medicine."

Laughter has been proven to reduce stress, pain, and depression while improving creativity, physical vitality and a sense of well being.

Did you know that the average child laughs between 300 and 400 times per day?  By the time adulthood is reached we are reduced, on average, to laughing only 12 times a day!    Let's change that together through a guided
series of breathing exercises, gentle movement, and simulated laughter.   Developed by Indian physician, Dr. Madan Kataria, these experiential gatherings are designed to help people connect with their inner child and re-discover joy, spontaneity, and creativity.

Laugh with others like you have never laughed before.   Stay, play, and leave feeling refreshed and invigorated.  It not only feels great, it also builds social bridges and promotes internal and external peace.

These in-person laughter circles welcome all age groups and abilities.  Specific exercises can be modified to suit participant as needed.  Anyone can participate and everyone can benefit.

What can I expect during a Laughter Circle?
A typical Laughter Session lasts about 60 minutes and includes the following:
A vocal warm-up, simulated laughter exercises, gentle movement, deep (diaphragmatic) breathing, humming and a laughter meditation.   Be prepared to laugh yourself silly, have fun, feel refreshed, invigorated, and relaxed.

What shall to bring?
Wear comfortable clothing, bring a water bottle and your biggest, brightest smile.  You will need an open mind, a willingness to try something new, and an adventurous spirit.
